Residents are eagerly
awaiting the delivery of the new Post Office and affordable homes. It was
anticipated that the work would be underway by now. However legal documentation
that was anticipated would be completed by Christmas for the temporary site is
still awaiting finalisation. As soon as this is complete the temporary Post
Office will be on site and the construction of the new Post office will
commence.
A planning application has been submitted for Cromhall Quarry at Rectory Lane, this is not to bring the quarry back in to use but to agree a restoration and implementation strategy. You can view the plans and comment online.
Since this publication has gone out there has been concern raised about what is happening to the Community Shop in Cromhall....the update in Lib Dem Focus mentions the Post Office not once but several times but there is no reference to the Community Shop - which is meant to be part and parcel of the scheme.....being on the front page of the Focus that is delivered to every household in the area it has raised some questions.....I am sure this is just an error on the publishing team - but some clarification would be appreciated.
