Temporary closure of North Road and Nibley Lane

These roads are expected to be closed for cleansing work to be carried out:

• North Road,between Armstrong Way and the bridge over the River Frome, will be closed from 6.00am – 9.00am on 19th April 
• Nibley Lane between Badminton Road and the Holly Hill junction is expected to be closed from 11.30am - 2.30pm on 20th April

Coalsack Lane to close for repairs

Coalsack Lane will be closed from Monday 26th February to allow repair works to be carried out.

Kidney Hill to be closed on Monday

Kidney Hill, Westerleigh will be closed for roadworks all day on Monday 12 February. This is the length of road that runs from the Broad Lane junction (next to what used to be Cornerways Day Nursery) down to the T junction with the main road.

Temporary closure of Henfield Road

South Glos have issued a notice to say that Henfield Road will be closed from Station Road to Ram Hill at some point on or after 24th January. The closure will only operate while signs are in place and is expected to take place over one night between 8.30pm and 4am.

Temporary closure of North Road for cleaning

North Road, Yate, from its junction with Armstrong Way to the bridge over the River Frome, is expected to close from 6am to 8am on 23rd November so the leaves can be cleaned away.

Night time closures of Nibley Lane

For five nights from 6th November, Nibley Lane between Badminton Road and Westerleigh Road will be closed between 9pm and 6.30am for roadworks.

Nibley Road overnight closure

Nibley Road will be closed between Badminton Road and Westerleigh Notice from 9pm on 11th October to 6.30am on 12th October so work can be carried out.

Nibley Lane to close for cleaning

Nibley Lane, from its junction with Badminton Road to its junction with Westerleigh Road, is expected to close for cleaning from 9.30am until 2.30pm on Tuesday 5th September for street cleaning to be carried out.

Abson Road closed daytime 21 Aug to 1 Sep

Abson Road, a popular cut-through between Pucklechurch and Wick, will be closed to all traffic from 21 August to 1 September for essential resurfacing work (patch repairs to defective areas). Diversions will be in place (see map above), access to properties and amenities fronting the site and whose only access is from the closed road will be available at all times although delays may occur. The work will start at approximately 7.30am and remain in place until approximately 4.30pm.

Temporary closure of Yate Road

Yate Road will be closed for up to 5 days from 26th June from the junction with Armstrong Way to approximately 50m south of the road over rail bridge. This is to allow urgent repair works to be carried out on the bridge. The 7.5t Weight Restriction on the A432 Station Road between its junctions with Longs Drive and Westerleigh Road will be temporarily suspended. The diversion route will be B4059 Iron Acton Way, B4059 Goose Green Way, B4059 Link Road, A432 Kennedy Way, A432 Station Road, A432 Badminton Road, B4059 Stover Road and vice versa.

Nibley Lane to close for cleaning

Nibley Lane, between its junction with Badminton Road and its junction with Westerleigh Road, is expected to close for cleaning from 9.30am until 2.30pm on Wednesday 29th March.

Westerleigh road closure for Rembrance Sunday

The roads around the Village Green in Westerleigh will be closed between 10.50 and 11.20am on Sunday for the annual Westerleigh Remembrance Day service.

Ring road resurfacing this weekend

The westbound carriageway of the A4174 will be closed between the Hambrook traffic lights and the Wick Wick roundabout this weekend, from 8pm on Friday 7th October to 6am on Monday 10th October. This is so that essential resurfacing work can be carried out.

Ring road works postponed

The planned closure of part of the A4174 ring road this weekend for resurfacing work has been postponed because of the wet weather forecast. The work was due to take place between the Bromley Heath roundabout and Hambrook traffic lights. The work will be rescheduled for a later date.

The full overnight closure of the eastbound carriageway between Wick Wick and Lyde Green roundabouts between 8pm and 6am from 5 to 9 September is still expected to take place. The road will be fully open during the day and at weekends.

Update on ring road closures

Last weekend's planned closure of the A4174 ring road for resurfacing had to be postponed due to the wet weather and will have to be rescheduled.

The following closures to the A4174 ring road will still take place:

• Full overnight closure of the eastbound carriageway between Wick Wick and Lyde Green roundabouts between 8pm and 6am, which started on 22 August and runs to 1 September and then again from 7 to 9 September. This road will be fully open during the day and at weekends.
• Full overnight closure of the westbound carriageway at the Hambrook traffic lights from 8pm on Monday 5 September until 6am on Tuesday 6 September. This road will be fully open during the day.

This work is part of the Challenge Fund project, and will involve removing the existing road surface and laying a new one. Resurfacing works on ring road

The council will be carrying out essential maintenance on the A4174 at Hambrook traffic lights/ Bristol Road junction and between the Wick Wick and Lyde Green roundabouts from Friday 19 August to Friday 9 September as part of the Challenge Fund – road improvement project.

These roadworks will require the following closures:

1. Full closure of the westbound carriageway at the Hambrook traffic lights from 8pm on Friday 19 August to 6am on Monday 22 August and from Friday 2 September to 6am on Monday 5 September.
2. Full overnight closure of the eastbound carriageway between Wick Wick and Lyde Green roundabouts between 8pm - 6am from 22 August to 1 September and from 7 to 9 September. This road will be fully open during the day and at weekends.
3. Full overnight closure of the westbound carriageway at the Hambrook traffic lights from 8pm to 6am on Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 September. This road will be fully open during the day.

The work has been scheduled to take place when traffic flow is low, before the school and university terms start and avoiding the Bank Holiday. M5 closure

The M5 Southbound will be closed from 8pm Thursday until 6am on Friday 5th August, due to roadworks at Junction 17 A4018 Cribbs Causeway.

Badminton Road overnight closure

From 18th July, there will be major resurfacing works taking place on Badminton Road between the traffic island just before the Nibley Lane junction and the roundabout by the council offices. The work will involve overmight road closures from 8pm to 6am - watch out for more details on the illuminated signs. There will be similar works taking place on Waverly Road, Yate from 19th July.

Night time ring road closures

The A4174 Ring Road between the Dramway and Deanery Road roundabouts will be closing overnight between 4th July and 17th August for maintenance. The closures will be between 8pm and 6am and a diversion route will be signed.
